OUTDOORMORE, INC (501c3)
Giving Chippewa Valley residents a place to get OutdoorMore!
Pinehurst Park is quickly becoming the place to be in the Chippewa Valley. Through the efforts of our volunteers and financial support of our community, we’ve been able to develop an extensive network of downhill mountain bike trails, hiking and snowshoe trails, cross-country ski trails (that are lighted at night), and a disc golf course.
But we’re not done there. For the last few years, we’ve been slowly prepping the hill for the return of lift-served skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Trees have been cleared, the hill has been graded, electric service has been upgraded, and funds are being raised to install a new rope tow.
We certainly don’t have the biggest hill, but we do have a fantastic community who deserves to have access to the fun of flying downhill. Our goal is to provide an accessible entry point for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the excitement that the winter season has to offer. It will be a place where kids can learn to ski or snowboard before taking a trip to a larger hill (at a fraction of the price). A place where the whole family can get out of the house for an afternoon of fun. A place for school trips, birthday parties, and after-work park laps.
We know you’re getting anxious for the lift to be installed (so are we), but we really have come such a long way since this all started in 2013. Everything we’ve been able to accomplish so far wouldn’t have been possible without your support and the passion you’ve given us. The Pinehurst Project started as (and still is) a 100% volunteer-ran organization of parents, local business owners, and passionate individuals who are dedicated to making their community a better place for everyone. If you’d like to show your support, please take a look at a few of the options below and consider helping out however you are able.
Thanks for riding this trail with us.
How to Support Pinehurst Park:
One-Time Donations or Monthly Giving - Donations from our supporters are what keep this whole thing going. If you or members of your family enjoy Pinehurst Park, please consider making a one-time or monthly recurring gift to OutdoorMore, Inc. As a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
Become a Member of OutdoorMore - For our supporters who like to come out and enjoy the park, you’re annual membership helps to fund ongoing maintenance and future development. For more information, visit the Become a Member page.
Volunteer - As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we place a high value on “sweat equity”. We always need more people to help us build and maintain our bike trails, terrain park, XC ski trails, and help out with events. For more information on how you can get involved, visit our Volunteer page.
In-Kind Donations (Materials, Equipment Usage, etc.) - These gifts are just as helpful as monetary donations and help us continue development throughout the park.
Match Pledges - Looking to make your donation go further? Consider pledging a donation match - where your donation has the opportunity to be matched by our supporters; essentially doubling your donation. If you’d like to provide a match pledge for our organization or a particular project, send us a message and we can discuss potential opportunities.
Member Benefits - Membership is a great way to introduce our supporters to other local businesses in the community. If you are a local business owner and would like to provide a benefit to our members, please send us a message. Memberships help drive funding for projects at Pinehurst, and can help bring new customers in your door.
Host a Fundraiser - Fundraisers can be a great way to rally the community around a cause that you support. Send us a message if you’re interested in hosting a fundraiser or looking for some ideas.
Corporate Sponsorship - Pinehurst Park attracts outdoor and action sport enthusiasts from around the Chippewa Valley and beyond. Let visitors know your business supports this project by becoming a sponsor. More info can be found on the Partners/Sponsors page.
Employer Donation Matching - Does your employer match charitable giving? If so, consider choosing OutdoorMore, Inc. for your next gift match.
Grants - If you hear about an upcoming grant we might be able to apply for, send it our way!
New Terrain Park Features - Are you a welder? Or do you have access to materials? We’re always looking to add new features to our terrain park (and fix up some of our older features). If you’d like to build something for the park, let us know!
